Rapid Apprehension Squad detectives have charged a 24-year-old man following incidents in Northbridge on Sunday, December 8, 2024.


It is alleged the man entered a liquor store on Lake Street on an electric scooter around 7:50 p.m. and stole some alcohol. It will further be alleged that security officers tried to stop him leaving the store, threatening them with a pair of scissors.


At around 9.40pm police found the man in Northbridge and during his arrest he allegedly bit a police officer on the arm and gave officers a false name.


The 24-year-old man of no fixed abode is charged with:


• Armed robberies;


• Obstructing government officials;


• Attacking official; And


• Give false personal information to the police.


He is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today, December 9, 2024.
